About Our Owner
Willard Ashburn is a native of Virginia Beach and a quintessential Southern gentleman. He grew up on his family's farm and claims to cook and eat anything that flies, walks, or swims.

Culinary Beginnings
When he was a boy, his father owned 2 restaurants and passed on his passion for food to his son. When Willard wasn't out hunting, riding, or fishing, he could be found in the kitchen beginning to research, develop, and experiment with foods.

Taking a Leap
Willard started out cooking for family and friends, then began his official journey as a culinary entrepreneur in the 1990s when he bottled his first barbecue sauce. In 2000, after more than 40 years of culinary brilliance, he took a leap of faith, left his job, and started making his own line of specialty foods. Since then, he's won numerous awards and pleased customers nationwide.
